Onsen gay japan

Tokyo ranks as one of our legit favorite destinations ever! It's clean, extremely safe, the people just impeccable, foodgasms galore, and a fantastic gay scene with over gay bars in Shinjuku's Ni-Ch&#;me district!

Put it this way, Tokyo is so fabulous, even the gorgeous Queer Eye Fab Five team made it over here and filmed a few episodes exploring the queer society of Japan.

We've visited Tokyo several times over the past few years and experienced the best Tokyo's gay scene has to offer. We've put together our LGBTQ travel reference to Tokyo based on our first-hand experience to help you have a fabulous holiday there.

Great place

I've been on Monday afternoons (from 2pm and from 4pm) and late bedtime on Saturdays. The last time I went was Sat March 1 Saturday night is unrestrained - people queuing to get in, and saunas and sleeping areas packed with cruising around and men doing it. I dream Fridays would be much the matching. Though quieter, the afternoons still had enough people to keep me interested. If it's your first time in this kind of place, I'd suggest going late afternoon, as it won't be overwhelming, but there will still be a stream of students and businessmen coming in for a quickie on their way home. All I can say is, I've had an amazing time there and recommend it for a hour visit. There's always a wide range of types, with foreigners (tourists and those living in Japan) around each time. I've always met some really hot guys and had some astonishing encounters. It's always different- I've been there in the afternoon and only hooked up with non-Japanese, and in the evening and been pounced on by Japanese guys. The flow is: 1. At th

Onsen Tips for LGBTQ People

Onsen Facilities in Japan

Most onsen in Japan are gender-segregated. You must be completely naked when entering an onsen. Wrapping a bath towel around your body is also not allowed. Growing up in Japan, I never felt embarrassed to go to an onsen with a friend or stranger of the same sex. Thinking back on my own animation, I may have resisted it during my adolescence, but now that I am an elder, I don&#;t think of it as anything special.

It&#;s just something I&#;ve gotten used to, and I think it would be something newcomers would be resistant to. Some people may reflect it is a strange custom, but I can assure you that if you like onsen, you will probably not mind.

I know that LGBTQ people acquire a harder time adjusting to the Japanese onsen system than cisgender and heterosexual people. But it&#;s not too early to give up. There are a few options, so please browse on before you give up on onsen altogether.
